The Children is one of the founding partners of Mile Aeroplan Beyond program. The organization has a mission to create a world where all young people are free to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change, and it could not have a better plan for this challenge! The Children was founded in 1995 by Craig Kielburger, which brought together 11 classmates in the fight against child labor. He was then only 12 years old.His brother,Mark, then joined him as co-founder.

Among the many launched by Children, notable initiatives include United for Action ,an awareness event bringing together young leaders who want to make a difference at the local as well as international. The U.S. event for action relates to the annual program of the same name, which provides resources, educational campaigns and documentation referred to achieve sustainable fashion ideas coming National Day.

Craig Kielburger and Mark were kind enough to invite us to the national event for U.S. action, which took place on April 29 in Gatineau,Quebec. We have been so touched by the experience that we want to share with you,our members.

The event was held at the Robert-Guertin in Gatineau.More than 4000 young people, teachers and friends attended the full day conference motivation (Martin Sheen,Spencer West,Jennifer Botterill,Chief Shawn Atleo,Rob Stewart and many others) and musical performances (Karl Wolf,Kardinal Offishall,Neverest and Shawn Desman to name them),not to mention the acrobatic show movement ONE DROP Cirque du Soleil. We spent the day to highlight the incredible efforts of thousands of young Canadians who strive every day to make a difference in the world.

Degrassi: The Next Generation,

Our most memorable moments are undoubtedly speech Molly Burke and Helen Campbell. We had tears in my eyes listening to the speech of Molly Burke,a visually impaired who campaigned against bullying.Hélène Campbell,a young woman in her twenties, has learned her in 2011 she was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and that he had received a double lung transplant side. That prompted Helen to launch Twitter campaign # BeAnOrganDonor to raise awareness of organ donation. His viral campaign, which has attracted the attention of Justin Bieber and Ellen DeGeneres, has helped to significantly increase the number of registered donors in Ottawa organs.

TG Social Group in Las Vegas

Hi All:
I'm looking to start a TG social group in the Las Vegas area where TG's and those interested in TG's can meet. I have some great ideas and hope that you will write me if you are interested in putting this together. This is not about sex or dating - it's about getting together a couple of times a month for social gatherings, camping, events, shows, karaoke, etc. Hope to hear from you soon..
Carolyn

OKI don t know what I got myself into. The school that I work at needed a team captain for our Relay For Life team; I volunteered to be the team captain. Out of 600 students, I would say about 100 will participate in this event. We need to raise a lot of money, but I don t know how. I know the basic fundraising ideas (car wash, bake sale, etc). What I need to know is how do I get businesses to donate and support our team. When we go to talk to them is their a paper they need to fill out? Do we just ask for a donation to support our relay for life team? Does anyone know if at the Relay For Life …

    • One thing that we did in this last Relay For Life is sell Records that we hung on our canopy with string. Our theme was School of Rock . Maybe you could sell Liberty Bells big enough to put peoples names on and hang them. We also got on a website and bought some candy bar wrappers with our name on them and sold stuff inside them. Good luck.

    • This is always a tough question. Depending on if the school will let you gamble we always had the best luck with the 50/50 drawings. Basically you can sell tickets for like a dollar each, and you make a time period that you will run your drawing, and when it s over you draw a name (ticket) and that person gets half of the money in the pot and your team gets the rest. All it takes is for somebody to make tickets, pretty much effortless. (My school wouldn t allow it though b/c they thought it was gamblingbut at work we did one, and we made a bunch of money.) As for the business thing, good luck! …
